Hueco Tanks

Unlike my first trip to Hueco, which for some reason went without a hitch, we faced a little adversity. A few people had to drop out, we got there too late to use our reservations the first day, and it snowed on us canceling out last two days of climbing. BUT overall it was such a good trip! I was alot stronger than I was on my first trip and we had some people that were really strong so it was fun being able to take photos of them on hard problems. We also got to go to some new areas and Arielle and I got in our first highball, a 25ft V0, super easy but still really fun and kinda got the blood going a bit! Here are some more photos from the trip. Problems shown include: Nobody Gets Out of Here Alive V2, Skimmer V3, Martini Right V12, Baby Martini V6, Baby Face V7.

More posts coming soon!

First Look | Hueco Tanks

So in early January a few friends and I went out to a climbing area outside of El Paso called Hueco Tanks and bouldered for a little over a week. Hueco is a great and humbling place. There are climbs there that only a few people in the world can do. I had been there before a few years back so it was a ton of fun guiding all of my friends around to the classic areas and problems! Here is a quick shot from a problem called Skimmer V3.

Full post coming in the next few days with shots from all the problems we got on!

Charlie and Geneva

Have you ever gone out and tried to do something and been absolutely shut down? Well that happened to me on Monday. Charlie and Geneva are two incredibly good friends of mine, so when they asked me to take their engagement photos I was honored and super excited. After planning out the main shots I wanted I drove on over to Downtown Bryan a little early to get things ready, only to find the locations of my main shots were closed to the public that day. I thought this was going to mess things up but instead it turned out to be a great opportunity to try out some new ideas that I had always wanted to do. It turned out awesome! Also Martha Ann’s came along to help out which is always fun!

Thanks so much for keeping up with my photography!

Austin and Courtney

I’ve known Austin and Courtney for a while now and knew right when they asked me to take their engagement photos it wasn’t going to be a typical shoot. Austin is your typical man in a photoshoot who doesn’t like having his photo taken and Courtney who is this energetic spunky person infront of the camera. We first went out to the lake behind George Bush Library for some shots at the bench they got engaged at, which was a sweet touch, and then out to the Century Tree. I was a bit worried about getting some creative shots at the Century Tree but I knew they would be down for anything so Martha, an awesome photographer who came along to help out, and I asked them to hop up in the tree, which they were excited to do, and it yielded some cool results. During our time at the tree the sun started setting so we decided to meet up again in a few days and head out to Downtown Bryan for some more shots. I was really excited because Downtown Bryan is by far my favorite place to photograph in the BCS area. We walked around for a while and found some really cool walls to shoot up against. Here are some of the shots, I hope you enjoy them! For more information about my engagement photography visit my website.

First Look: Galveston Trip

Ever since I moved to College Station from Galveston I have loved taking people there and showing them a local perspective. For some reason I just took my roommates of two and a half years there yesterday, the week before they graduate. It was so much fun! It was kinda cloudy, windy, and cold but that didn’t stop them from getting right up to the water. Check out this quick photo from the day!

More to come soon!

Chelsea & Eric

Back in August I photographed a two good friends of mine’s wedding with Martha Ann’s Photography. They are some of the coolest, most genuine people I know and I was honored to photograph their wedding. They had their wedding outdoors at the camp we work at, Laity Lodge Youth Camp, at the Singing Hills Pavilion. It was a blast being out there for a wedding with Chelsea, Eric, and a lot of our friends who were staff with us. I was very pleased with the outcome. Here are a few of the images, I hope you enjoy them!
